Devany to head ATC division

NEW YORK — Susan Ziccardi Devany has joined Associated Textile Converters to head its bedding and manufacturing division.

Devany will create and engineer designs specifically for the bedding business as well as adapt the company’s decorative fabrics for the bedding and other manufacturing businesses, said Richard Hanfling, corporate vice president. Associated is the parent company of Swavelle/Mill Creek, Piermont Fabrics, and Textile Fabric Associates.

"In prints, we always have been a strong supplier for the bedding industry," Hanfling explained. "Now we have a very sophisticated woven product that can be adapted for the bedding trade and woven in India and China, in qualities that are acceptable to that market."

Before joining Associated, Devany had her own consulting firm, Madison House Designs. Earlier she was with Artisan Group, Cone Jacquards and Richloom. She succeeds Lee Hunt who left the company.
