Cresc Reshuffles The Deck
May 30, 2005-- Home Textiles Today,
The 28-year-old home accents and rug company Cresc Corp. recently became the parent company of Home Comfort — formerly its sister affiliate. And in a related move, Cresc also spun off its Homefires area and accent rug brand into its second division, working alongside Home Comfort.
“This move is aimed at bringing the entire workforce of the two divisions into a cohesive team that will handle all aspects of daily operations,” said Renee Ringstad, who under the restructuring was promoted to executive vice president of merchandising for Cresc from her former post as president of Homefires.
In her new post, Ringstad is in charge of product development for both Homefires and Home Comfort, in addition to managing specialty accounts such as mail-order catalogs, Web sites and others. She also handles all advertising and public relations for the company.
Also promoted under the new plan was Bud Edie to executive vice president of sales for Cresc from his former post as president of Home Comfort.
Edie is in charge of directing all sales efforts for the company, which include managing sales organizations and direct sales to key accounts.
New hire Craig Reese has been appointed to operations manager for Cresc, overseeing the internal operations and communications between both divisions and all the staff members. Reese formerly owned and operated his own transportation company.
Finally, Joy Keo has been promoted to head the newly created service and support team, which provides customer service and sales representative service and performs daily office functions. She was formerly customer service manager.
