New York Home Textiles Market Week announces best new product winners

New York – The Green Bamboo Outdoor Pillow from V Rugs & Home was awarded "Best of Market" yesterday in the Best New Product Awards competition at Home Textiles Market Week held at the Jacob Javits Center.

Winners and finalists were selected by a panel of trade and consumer editors based on several criteria, including innovation in design; creative use of materials/construction; and new fiber, material or technology.

The summer 2009 category winners and finalists, selected from over 115 entries, were:

Winner: Plover Organic (Portland, Ore.) for its Cartouche Quilt, an organic cotton hand quilted quilt
Finalist: Traditions (Claverak, N.Y.) for its Simone Bed Design
Finalist: Papillon Linens & Dreamfit™ (Las Vegas) for its Dreamfit Quilted Sheet Set

Winner: Libeco Lagae (New York) for its Vence Bed Set, 100% linen solid fashion
Finalist: Espalma-Cobra (New York) for its Hotel Collection
Finalist: Sin In Linen (Seattle) for its Tattoo Flash Ivory Shower Curtain

Winner: Lintex (New York) for its Golden Jubilee tablecloth and napkin
Finalist: Culturally Chic (Miami) for its Bogacs place mat and napkin set
Finalist: Settings by Mona (Las Vegas) for its Square Tablecloth

Home Accessories
Winner: Dash & Albert (Pittsfield, Mass.) for its Zipper Rug, wool hand-woven zipper rug
Finalist: V.P. Designs (New Rochelle, N.Y.) for its Chantilly Tablecloth Gift
Finalist: Scents and Feel (Miami) for its Fouta Collection
