Stein Mart revamps Web site

Jacksonville, Fla. -- Stein Mart recently updated and renovated its Web site, www.steinmart.com, to create an easier online shopping experience and offer more accessible perks to its repeat customer. This effort comes in concert with the retailer's recent revamping of its home department, which plays a major role on the Web as well as at the stores.
"We wanted our site to be more customer- friendly, topical and easily and readily updated," David Bothe, vp, marketing and sales promotion, told HTT. "We also wanted fashion for the home and individual to be the focus of the site." The fashion displayed on the site will be changed monthly to coincide with the retailer's color inserts. "Our home page has areas that can be changed to promote subjects that are relevant to us at any given time," Bothe said.
One of the biggest additions to the site is a Preferred Customer section related to Stein Mart's loyalty program. Through enhanced capabilities, preferred customers are able to change their address online, register for monthly gift card giveaways, sign up for personalized newsletters and receive other benefits.
