MMK Corp./Vista Opens New, Larger Showroom in New York
March 1, 2010,
Area and accent rug and soft home goods supplier Vista Home Fashions and its parent, MMK Corp., are relocating into a new and larger showroom space here in time for the upcoming New York Home Fashions Market.
The new showroom is more than double in size — measuring 2,500 square feet — and is in space 707.
MMK Corp./Vista said the bigger showroom was necessary for showcasing its expanded bath rug offerings. These new wares stem from the company's recently revamped and enlarged production facilities in India “with new technology and machinery that will take us to new levels of bath rugs offering very detail designs,” explained Sean Kejriwal, vp, Vista Home Fashions.
The new bath rug program features much advancement, such as: a new 51 color palette for this fall; hand-embroidery work with floral patterns on ring-spun combed cotton; expanded offerings of two- and three-piece bath sets in various constructions; and 25 to 30 new fashion bath rugs in stripes, florals and transitional patterns.
The total number of new introductions for both solid and fashion bah rugs is 100 designs/construction combinations.
In regular accent and area rugs styles, the company's latest offering is set to include: 120 new designs in wool tufted, 90-line hook printed jute rugs; a collection of 40 indoor/outdoor rugs in various constructions and designs; and 20 to 30 machine-made polyester/viscose rugs set to retail at aggressive price points.
Fifteen-year-old MMK Corporation is a manufacture and direct importer, and its Vista Home Fashions division, which services retailers in the United States and Canada, has been in operation for the past eight years. Company offices are located here, Charlotte, N.C., and Ontario, Canada and its also runs warehouses on both coasts. The company's manufacturing facilities are in India, where it produces an extensive bath rug line. MMK Corp./Vista also produces its product via partnerships with factories in China, Egypt and elsewhere in India.
