NPD offers sales tracking service

PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. -- The NPD Group, a consumer and retail information company, has launched a sales tracking service for home textiles.
The information provided through the service offers data for bedding, bath, kitchen linens and window treatments. Retail shares and trends, household profiles, and channel shares are included in the NPD data.
NPD Home Textiles research data allows retailers to compare their own performance against competitors, while manufacturers can evaluate retail opportunities. The tracking service examines which households are most likely to buy and the influences that drive their purchasing decisions. NPD tracks data for the total market and also analyzes what specific products consumers are buying within the kitchen, bath, bedding and window treatments categories.
