New York — Table linen, kitchen textiles and decorative pillow supplier Avonhome and designer Raymond Waites have teamed up to launch at the upcoming New York market an extensive line of table linens and kitchen textiles.
The collections are titled Raymond Waites Tableware and Raymond Waites Kitchenware, which collectively comprise more than 500 skus centered on Waite's opulent design perspective. They target retailers in the upper-end of the specialty store segment and the mid-range of the department store assortment.
"I went with Avonhome because of the high quality of their work, their style and, most of all, the people," Waites told HTT. "Everyone is great to work with. It's critical to me to have this kind of working relationship because they understand my work and know how to interpret it."
The kitchen collection comes in four styles. The table linen line is vast, including yarn-dyed formal damasks in cinnabar, alabaster and black with highlights of metallic silvers and golds, 18 to 24 prints on damask bases, higher-end yarn-dyed woven cloths with tighter weaves and slub yarns and a textured damask chenille cloth.
