Hunt at Associated Textiles
NEW YORK — Lee Hunt had joined Associated Textiles to head up the company's woven product lines, effective today.
Hunt, who joins the company from Hoffman Mills "will be involved principally in expanding our presence the woven bedding business as well as all other ready-made home fashions textiles products," explained Jeff Thomases, ceo of Associated.
The woven bedding business "is a segment of the business we've begun to develop, and Lee has a new position for the company," Thomases added. The product developed under her aegis will be sourced both domestically and off-shore, and will be marketed under the Swavelle/ Mill Creek umbrella.
"Lee reports to me but will work closely with [other company executives] Tom Solimine, Joe Cappi and Howard Ebert."
No successor has been named at Hoffman Mills but Barbara Hoffman, vp, noted, "We are definitely looking to add to our design and merchandising team, but we're also planning to divide the work differently."
Costa Blanca gets richer
HIGH POINT, NC — Erica Richer has joined Costa Blanca Textiles Industries as West Coast sales representative, a new post.
Richer, formerly managing director for Fifield Home Furnishings, is based in the Los Angeles area. She reports to Jack Korngold, vp.
Costa Blanca had been represented on the West Coast by Martin Marcus of Marcus Sales.
