Quito, Ecuador - The Ecuadorian Navy made a special delivery for Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos on New Year's Day.
Bezos was airlifted from a cruise ship by a navy helicopter after suffering a kidney stone attack in the Galapagos Islands. He was flown to his private jet on a nearby island and from there to the United States for surgery.
In an email to Reuters, Bezos rated his experience: "Galapagos: five stars. Kidney stones: zero stars."
Bezos is the 19th richest person in the world, according to Forbes magazine, with a fortune of $25 billion.
