Minneapolis - Target Corp is slashing 475 jobs at its headquarters in Minnesota and will not fill 700 open positions around the world, according to a report in Reuters.
The report said a Target spokesperson would not provide further details on the job cuts.
The retailer is in the hot seat as the result of a massive theft of its shoppers' credit card and personal information. It recently cut its fourth quarter outlook based on declining sales in the wake of the credit card attack.
