Toronto - Sears Canada will eliminate 1,628 jobs to cut costs, according to an article in The Globe and Mail. The move comes after a similar reduction last year.
Jobs are being outsourced from three call centers to IBM, with additional employees being let go from four logistics centers.
As a result, Sears Canada has about 20,000 in staff, the article said, down from 31,000 two years ago.
