JCPenney sees first positive comp since 2011

Plano, Texas - It hasn't happened since the second quarter of 2011, but JCPenney generated positive same-store sales during the fourth quarter, the company reported.
During the fourth quarter, Penney's comp rose 2.0% and total sales jumped 26.3%, according to the company.
During the holiday season - November and December - same-store sales rose 3.1%.
The company said it closed the fiscal year with more than $2 billion in available liquidity.
