Wayfair names Christiane Lemieux exec creative director

Boston - Wayfair today appointed Christiane Lemieux executive creative director. In her new role, Lemieux, the founder and former creative director of DwellStudio, will provide creative vision across the e-commerce company's growing portfolio of home brands including Wayfair.com, AllModern, Joss & Main and DwellStudio.
"Christiane has an amazing eye for home design and a deep understanding of the home furnishings industry," said Niraj Shah, ceo and co-founder of Wayfair. "As an entrepreneur, and artist, Christiane will drive the creative direction of our home brands from a unique vantage point."
Lemieux began her career in fashion working as a fabric assistant for Isaac Mizrahi and then as an assistant designer of women's woven clothing, fabric design and product development for the Gap. She moved into home furnishings by becoming design director with Portico, a New York-based home company.
In 2000, Lemieux launched DwellStudio, a lifestyle retail brand known for a fresh, modern sensibility. Wayfair acquired DwellStudio in August 2013 and Lemieux joined the company's leadership team while continuing to oversee DwellStudio.
