Heimtextil shows growth

Expanded flooring area planned for 2015 show

Frankfurt, Germany - Last week's Heimtextil international trade fair here saw an uptick in visitors and exhibitors compared to 2013, according to show organizer Messe Frankfurt.
The event drew around 67,000 visitors compared to 65,835 last year, with 2,718 exhibitors vs. 2,626.
Just over 66% of visitors and 88% of exhibitors came from outside Germany - on part with last year. The most notable growth came from Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, South America and South Korea.
For next year's show, Heimtextil is planning to expand the area devoted to floor coverings with the inclusion of carpeting manufacturers.
The 2015 show will take place Jan. 14-17.
