Christian Mosso and Associates to expand retailer services

Atlanta - Christian Mosso and Associates, a Southeastern sales and marketing agency for the home furnishings industry, is prepping for the launch of its latest venture - retailer-oriented ecommerce services.
Christian Mosso, founder and president, told H&TT that the effort is already in the works with an IT team. The plan is to make the new service available to all of the 19,000 specialty linens and gift shops within its nine-state regional network before yearend.
"We would like to see more stores protected and competing more fairly online," he explained. "Right now, there is no enhanced retailer support for the mom-and-pop shops we work with on a regular basis. But what we will offer them with this new service is the content and technology they need to sell the brands we represent."
The idea is to help high-end home fashions linens and gift brands and manufacturers in CMA's global portfolio to more easily and effectively tap online retailing with new and existing customers, or as Mosso put it, "enter and be successful in the U.S. market."
The effort falls in place with CMA's grander strategy to be a more full-service provider in the specialty home furnishings business, both on the supplier and now retail sides.
