Atlanta - Colorful home furnishings designer and manufacturer Company C brought to this week's Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market a newly-developed line of organic bedding.
Dubbed Company C Organics, the line includes the Fountain collection of quilts and shams in six signature Company C colors, the Shaye collection of duvet covers and shams, and the Finley collection of sheets and European shams - the two latter collections available in three signature Company C colors.
"Sustainable sourcing is a very important part of our mission and we are happy to bring to market a gorgeous new line that is GOTS certified," said Christine Chapin, co-founder and chief colorful living officer. "The Global Organic Textiles Standard is one of the best certifications for organic textiles. Our new collections are not only Company C colorful, but also sustainably sourced."
Since 2005, Company C has supported sustainable rug sourcing by partnering with GoodWeave. The GoodWeave mission ensures that rugs bearing the GoodWeave label have been handmade without the use of child labor. GoodWeave also promotes and supports ethical work standards at rug factories. Company C donates a percentage of the revenue from rugs sold to the cause.
"For the past 20 years we have continually pushed ourselves to find ways to give back," Chapin continued. "This is such an important aspect in our mission of bringing colorful living into our customers' lives and homes. We're very proud of our vendor partners who are committed to sustainable practices. All of our upholstery is manufactured in North Carolina factories that have received the home furnishings industry's highest recognition for environmental stewardship."
