Chanhassen, Minn. - MyPillow, which generated $160 million in sales last year, is branching into the mattress topper market.
The MyPillow Topper employs the same fill used in the company's signature pillow, which is designed to conform to the body and align the spine naturally.
The topper also incorporates ThermaPhase gel to keep the surface at a comfortable temperature. It is available in a zippered eco-friendly DreamSoft cover that controls moisture, is easy to maintain and is machine washable and dryable, according to the company.
"Consumers have been asking me to develop more products to enhance their sleep environment. They love the quality and comfort of MyPillow, and now they can experience those properties on the full surface of the mattress with our new topper line," said MyPillow inventor and ceo Mike Lindell.
Founded in 2004, the patented MyPillow is domestically produced. The company got its start at state and county fairs and home and craft shows, and broadened into infomercials in 2011. MyPillow said its sales have grown from $3 million in 2010 to $160 million in 2013.
