Alan Steel to receive King's Globe Award

New York - Alan Steel, president and ceo of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, will be honored by the New York Area Chapter of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events next week.
Steel will receive the group's King's Glove Award for his more than 35 years of work in the trade show industry.
He began his career working in trade development for the British Consulate, bringing hundreds of British companies to US trade events during his 15 years there. Prior to taking his current position at the Javits Center in 2012, Steel spent several years as president of George Little Management, whose trade shows included the New York International Gift Fair, Surtex and ICFF, among many others.
