Capel Rugs taps Olsen as manager of sales in Iowa and Nebraska

Troy, N.C. -- Capel Rugs has appointed industry veteran Steve Olsen to the post of manage of sales in Iowa and Nebraska.

Described by Capel as "a sales representative known for his strong working relationships with small- to large-sized retailers," Olsen began his career with Keller Furniture, where he was credited with selling more than 80 retail brands and was an eight-time top producer with nearly $2 million in annual sales. During his time with Keller, from 1990-1999, Olsen was named the company's "Salesman of the Decade."

More recently, Olsen has worked with Palliser/EQ3, Montage Furniture Services, Philip Reinisch Co. and Marshfield Upholstery.

"Steve's ability to develop and foster relationships that span 30 years serves as a testament to his steadfast commitment to our industry," said Allen Robertson, vice president of sales. "Steve will expand our reach and enhance our customer service efforts in both Iowa and Nebraska."

Olsen is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Royale Linens taking up temp space for market Hicksville, NY - While it's new permanent showroom is under construction, Royale Linens will be showing for a temporary space at the upcoming New York Home Fashions Market.

The bedding manufacturer, whose parent is Yunus Textile Mills, Ltd. (Karachi, Pakistan), will present its fall 2014 collections at 295 Fifth Ave., Suite 801.

A permanent showroom is under construction in the same building in Suite 1109 with an expected completion in June 2014.

Three collections at market will be available for fall delivery: For Your Home by Vicki Payne, Studio Row and Vintage Comfort.

The New York market week takes place March 24-27.
