Restoration Hardware taps Diemoz for new development post

Will helm global efforts, emerging businesses

Corte Madera, Calif. — Restoration Hardware has named Doug Diemoz to the newly created position of chief development officer.

Diemoz, a 20-year retail veteran who reports to chairman and ceo Gary Friedman, will oversee Restoration Hardware’s international growth and global expansion efforts, as well as the development of emerging new businesses.

“I’ve known and admired Doug for years and believe his high energy, drive and collaborative nature is an excellent fit for our culture. His finance, operations and international experience will be invaluable as we execute our long term growth strategy,” Freedman said.

Diemoz most recently was ceo of Mixx, an Amsterdam-based international fashion brand, where he worked from 2011 to 2013.

Earlier, he spent nine years in various senior finance posts at Williams-Sonoma, and was with Gap Inc.’s Old Navy brand for five years.
