Rug Market expands category offerings for spring launch

Culver City, Calif. – Looking to meet design requirements for multiple retailer channels, The Rug Market America this spring launched a variety of new rug styles in multiple categories, including home fashion, outdoor/resort, accent and youth/baby.

Debuted during the High Point Market earlier this month, the company “saw a lot of energy in our showroom and felt the vibe was positive,” said Andrew Shabtai, vp.

Among the home fashions introductions were wool and silk designs from the Maison collection, including the Grenada-Beige that features an ikat design with accents of 2014’s color of the year, radiant orchid.

Highlights among the new Rug Market Kids collection include several youth and baby designs and coordinating designs like the Connie’s snowflake-geometric motif in polyester for indoor or outdoor use.

The expanded POP Accents collection now includes multiple designs from chevrons to Greek key that can be used for both exterior or interior décor.

“The availability of a depth of designs and constructions to meet the needs of the multiple retail outlets carrying floor coverings today has been an attractive draw for our designs,” said Shabtai. “We are able to provide options not only in design, but in price points as well and this continues to be well received on retail levels.”
