Tervis breaks ground on new center

North Venice, Fla. – Insulated drinkware company Tervis broke ground this month on a 24,000-square-foot Innovation Center intended to foster collaborative team work.

The new center is located adjacent to its existing headquarters and factory in North Venice, Fla. Completion of the project is scheduled for November 2014.

Since 2010, Tervis has tripled it staff to its current count of 800 employees.

“We pride ourselves on being innovators,” said Patrick Redmond, Tervis president and ceo. “We are constantly seeking new ways to improve and provide our consumers with exactly what they are seeking, whether it’s a way to express themselves with their favorite team or to keep their drinks at just the right temperature.”

The Innovation Center will house marketing, web, new product development, creative, licensing, and line planning departments with open working and meeting spaces that encourages teamwork.

“We wanted a space that allows our creative teams to work closely together,” said Redmond.
