Northwest teams with Erin Heatherton

New York – Northwest, the exclusive blanket and throw licensee for a host of major league sports organizations and hundreds of collegiate teams, has signed Victoria’s Secret supermodel Erin Heatherton as its brand ambassador – a first for the company.

“I grew up in Chicago as an athlete and diehard sports fan, so working with a sports-licensed company with such a great reputation is a dream come true,” said Heatherton, who was a contestant in this year’s NBA Celebrity All-Star Game and grew up playing AAU basketball.

As brand ambassador, she will appear in ad campaigns and represent Northwest at major sporting events, including the Super Bowl, Final Four and MLB All-Star Game. At those events, Heatherton will spearhead Operation Comfort, The Northwest’s mission to make sports fans comfortable wherever they are, with the help of the company’s league licensed comfort products.

Northwest and Heatherton first worked together on the company’s billboard campaign for the 2014 Super Bowl.

“We didn’t plan on bringing on a brand ambassador at this time, but we were so taken with Erin as a person that it just felt right,” said Ross Auerbach, company president and ceo. “She is often described as the girl next-door because she is such a quality person who makes everyone around her more comfortable and quality and comfort are exactly what consumers can expect from Northwest products.”
