Calhoun, Ga. – Surya will debut a number of new home accessory collections at the upcoming summer markets, starting with the concurrent Atlanta International Area Rug and Gift & Home Furnishings markets.
Employing multiple traditional and newly developed constructions as well as an array of fiber content combinations, a spectrum of colors in a variety of fashion styles, Surya will showcase its newest wares at its showroom at the AmericasMart in space 11-A-1.
Among the new introductions are several Asian-inspired collections, including colorful, screen-printed silk pillows with Japanese-themed designs and a range of hand-hooked rugs showcasing over-scaled bamboo, lattice and floral motifs. Also new are indoor/outdoor rugs featuring graceful koi and abstract designs that resemble Zen sand paintings.
Scandinavian-inspired designs with bright primary hues and simple geometric combinations will be featured alongside several rug collections in Surya’s new Modern Craft trend story of products, including designs in soft pastels with crochet trims for a feminine interpretation and geometric designs woven with natural yarns and neon highlights. Textural wall hangings in the Modern Craft style will also debut.
In addition, Surya will introduce several new flat-woven rugs constructed of natural fibers combined with touches of viscose and other materials to provide interesting texture and luster. Coordinating jacquard rugs and pillows with global themes, and Art Deco-inspired pillows with simple, satin-stitched embroidered designs will be spotlighted as well in this grouping.
Rounding out the introductions is Surya’s expanded bedding collection, featuring popular designs by Australian style icon Florence Broadhurst, and presented in sophisticated colorways.
“Our product development team has worked diligently to create an inviting new range of fashion-forward collections that not only capture the essence of the latest trends but also incorporate novel constructions and techniques not found elsewhere,” said Lynne Meredith, vice president of product development, Surya. “We look forward to sharing these innovations with our designer and retailer customers as we continue to add depth and breadth to our product offerings.”
Surya also noted it will offer a complimentary catered breakfast and lunch daily during market, along with hors d'oeuvres and cocktails every evening. And market attendees who pre-register here will be entered for a chance to win an iPad Mini.
Surya’s Atlanta showroom will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. during both markets.
