George Foreman makes another comeback

Middleton, Wis. – In yet another comeback for the once supremely successful brand, George Foreman grills are taking to the airwaves with a new marketing campaign.
The indoor grills will heat up the airways with a new television commercial and multi-platform advertising campaign, "Meet My Grillfriend!", marking the brand's first television spot in three years. The campaign will also be supported by mobile and social media advertising.
The George Foreman "Meet My Grillfriend" 30-second commercial taps into the pitfalls of texting. The spot shows a busy dad preparing dinner for his family and sending a quick text to his wife, writing about making dinner with "my grillfriend," which is autocorrected to "girlfriend." Instead of finding his "girlfriend" at her home, she sees the meal her husband prepared for the family with a George Foreman grill.
The campaign introduces a line-up of six new grills ranging in size from two to nine servings. The grills offer a choice between the new, advanced George Tough coating and searing temperature with ceramic coating. Both types of plates are non-stick, removable and dishwasher safe.
