IHA introduces website, logo for new consumer effort

Rosemont, IL – The International Housewares Association unveiled more details about its new effort to promote its members’ products directly to consumers, a first for the organization.

The program will be called Inspired Home, and will leverage original content in concert with members’ brands through a new website and social media.

“Our goal is to elevate the housewares industry in the eyes of the consumer to drive product visibility and industry credibility, benefitting both members and retailers,” says Derek Miller, IHA’s vp, global marketing. “Inspired Home gives us the opportunity to interact and engage directly with consumers all year round, providing resources and inspirational content that will inform their purchasing decisions and ultimately drive housewares sales.”

Major brands such as KitchenAid, Hamilton Beach, OXO, simplehuman, Keurig, Conair, Pyrex IHA will be among the members showcased on a new website, as well as social media channels, media relations efforts and strategic partnerships.

These channels will offer lifestyle articles and videos on topics such as cooking and baking, dining and entertaining, home organization, cleaning and personal care and wellness. There will also be photos of the latest products for seasonal or holiday occasions, seasonal recipe ideas, guidance on how to make housewares purchasing decisions and news about global color trends from Pantone.

Each exhibiting IHA member company will have its own profile page on with up to 50 product images for consumers to access, along with links to the member’s website and social media platforms. The collection of brands and products will provide consumers with the ability to search for, learn about and, ultimately, purchase housewares products, as directed by the IHA member. is scheduled to launch this fall along with corresponding social media channels: Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.
