Moe's Home Collection to expand retail showroom

Vancouver, BC, Canada – Home décor and furnishings store Moe’s Home Collection is investing in a $50,000 expansion project of its flagship location here that calls for the remodeling of its third-floor to include a new retail showroom.

Set for debut this fall, the new 13,000-square-foot space will feature pieces from Moe’s proprietary collections as well as from other major brands, including Copeland, Natuzzi and Surya, the company said.

The third phase of a design-focused expansion launched in 2011 thanks to increased demand and growth in Moe’s private label collections.

The new showroom will feature vignettes for bedrooms and offices similar to those seen in the store’s lower floors.

To accommodate the new showroom, Moe’s will move its stockroom operations to a new 17,000-square-foot warehouse nearby.

“Expanding our flagship store’s showroom is an exciting step for our retail business,” said Sara Samieian, general manager of Moe’s retail division. “Staying as local as possible is a big priority, so we were thrilled to secure a new warehouse space just blocks away from the store.” She added: “The added space will increase our stock, which means less wait time for pick-up and shipping, including customized pieces. Customers will be able to take home much of our merchandise within a week or two, which is largely unheard of for large-scale furniture retailers.”
