Trident expands Budhni open-end spinning capacity

Ludhiana, Punjab, India – On the heels of Trident Group’s unveiling of what it claims to be the world’s largest terry towel plant, Trident Limited, the flagship company of parent Abhishek Industries Ltd.’s Trident Group, today commissioned an open-end yarn-spinning expansion project that will enhance the manufacturing capacity of 10,000 TPA of cotton open-end yarn for its terry towel unit in Budhni.

The company also owns and operates yarn manufacturing facilities in Sanghera, Punjab and Budni, with total 366,000 spindles and 3,584 rotors. Apart from the existing capacities of yarn manufacturing, this newly commissioned open-end yarn spinning project at Budhni now adds another 1920 rotors to its capacities, Trident Ltd. Noted.

The company said it aims “to surpass the bounds of being the world’s largest integrated home textile manufacturer and continue to expand and modernize [our] capacities making it comparable with global standards.”
