H&M flagship on 5th Avenue first to offer full line

New York – Crowds were lined up around the block this morning in anticipation of the noon opening of H&M’s flagship store at Fifth Avenue and 48 th Street – which carries the full range of the international retailer’s category offerings, including home.

The five-story, 57,000-square-foot store also carries men’s, women’s, children’s, lingerie, maternity and cosmetics.

A screen on the face of the store depicts the artist Jeff Koon’s balloon dog with a message that proclaims: “Fashion Loves Art.” H&M is sponsoring a retrospective of Koon’s work at the Whitney Museum.
