Industry veteran Robert “Lebo” Leibowitz

Yonkers, N.Y.-- Industry veteran Robert “Lebo” Leibowitz died Monday night after a four-and-a-half-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Leibowitz was working for Bennettsville Printing after a 27 year stint as vp of Cone Mills Carlisle Finishing. Mike Vecchione, vp at Cone Mills recalled, “Lebo knew how to have a good time and a lot of us got to be along for the ride.”
A memorial service will be held in September in New York City on a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, Leibowitz’s wife, Georgiana Zamel of Jeffrey Fabrics, suggested sending donations to The Lustgarten Foundation’s fund to cure pancreatic cancer at www.lustgarten.org.
