Fort Mill, S.C. – Gluten-free readers, this item is not for you. Artisan bread lovers, read on. Frieling has a new basket that gives rising bread a European taste.

The Brotform Bread Rising Basket utilizes a centuries-old technique for home-baked breads. The basket, made of hand woven natural cane, is designed to yield a better rise and a crunchy, ribbed crust, with a European-style texture.

To use, flour the basket and place the kneaded dough inside for its final rise. As it rises, the ribbed texture of the Brotform imprints its rustic shape on the loaf and also establishes the crust. Once the dough has sufficiently risen, turn it out onto an ovenproof surface to bake.

The Brotform is available in eight sizes including four round sizes, two rectangular sizes, an oval, and a Brotform specially designed for baguettes. They can also be used to serve homemade or store-bought breads.

Suggested retail prices range from $29.95 to $49.95. Products are available for immediate shipment.
