Changing titles and expanded roles at Williams-Sonoma

San Francisco – Four senior execs at William-Sonoma Inc. have been promoted with an eye to building out the company’s footprint abroad and boosting market share at home.

Chief marketing officer Pat Connolly has been named chief strategy and business development officer. Having been with the company for 35 years, he will he will work with the investment and venture capital communities to identify growth opportunities.

Chief information officer John Strain’s new position is chief digital and technology officer. He assume additional responsibility for the company’s digital and direct marketing efforts, integrating new and evolving digital technology into all aspects of the business.

Felix Carbullido succeeds Connolly as chief marketing officer after previously overseeing the Pottery Barn direct business.

Dean Miller, most recently chief supply chain officer, is not chief operating officer. He led the company’s vertical integration in sourcing, the development of its domestic upholstered manufacturing operations, its global logistics network, and the regionalization of the company’s U.S. distribution network.
