Wayfair to open customer service center in Utah

Boston — Online home goods retailer Wayfair said it plans to open a customer service center next month in Orem, Utah.
“We are laser-focused on providing an unparalleled customer experience across all of our brands,” said Niraj Shah, CEO and co-founder of Wayfair. “The new Utah customer service center will allow us to scale current operations to meet the needs of our growing customer base.”
The center, a 45,000-square-foot space in the Canyon Park Technology Center, is expected to create 500 jobs over the next three years. There will be openings for phone and e-mail customer representatives as well as for service managers, trainers and recruiters.
The Orem facility is Wayfair’s second in Utah. In 2012, the company opened a warehouse and customer service center in Ogden.
