Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles fetes 20th anniversary this month

Frankfurt, Germany – Messe Frankfurt’s Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles this month is celebrating its 20th anniversary with its largest event ever, occupying 13 halls for the first time.

There will be about 1,350 exhibitors from 31 countries and regions at the fair, which runs Aug. 27-29 .

The main product categories include bedding and towels, upholstery fabrics, curtains, sun protection systems and accessories, wall coverings and design.

In recent years, the fair has evolved to cover a broader range of home textile products, Messe Frankfurt explained, “and this edition sees more wall coverings exhibitors participating, with a particular focus on design-oriented suppliers. Seegreen, for example, has completed contracts for Estée Lauder, and will exhibit British brand Clarke & Clarke, American brand Brentano, and Desima from Germany.”

Hall W1 will showcase premium suppliers from Europe, including Designers Guild and JAB as well as LaCanTouch which represents the CasaDeco, Flordelis, Jean Paul Gaultier and Sonia Rykiel. Additionally, Unichina will showcase a number of European brands including Armonia, Edinburgh Weavers, Gonzalez Llado and TheVenon. Bedding and towels together represent a popular category at the fair, and this year some key suppliers will take part. Among them: German firm Curt Bauer will return with new bedding products, Mundotextil from Portugal will present its Blank Home brand of terry towels, bathrobes, bed linen and home accessories, including four new collections, and Naturtex from Hungary will be another bedding exhibitor in hall W1. Returning again to the fair is the Italy Pavilion, which is organized this year by ICE - Italian Trade Commission. One exhibitor in the pavilion is Sirio Tendaggi Srl, a supplier of curtains and light deco fabrics since 1950, and another is Villaflorence Srl, wich is participating for the first time to showcase its collection of embroidered, jacquard, lace and printed satin duvet cover sets.

The Haining Pavilion will house a large number of jacquard fabric suppliers as this region is China’s leading production base for such products. Among the exhibitors in this pavilion will be Haining Jinbaili Textile and Zhejiang Hanboo Home Textile, and set to occupy one and a half halls at this edition is the Tongxiang Pavilion featuring suppliers of jacquard and printed upholstery fabrics, curtains, rugs, cushions and bedding products, including Tongxiang Longxiang Textile and Tongxiang Xinbaolai Textile.
