Wayfair shoppers spend more on pets for Valentine’s Day

Pet-related items more popular than several other gifting categories for the holiday

WayfairBoston – When it comes to Valentine’s Day gifting, Wayfair customers spend more lavishly on their pets than their significant others.

In fact , 84% of Wayfair customers shelled out for pet goods and pet-related merchandise than on Gifts for Him, Gifts for Her, Florals & Décor or Single-Life Picks – combined. In addition, “Picks for the Pet Lover” has been Wayfair’s highest viewed sales event since the home furnishings e-commerce retailer launched its Valentine’s Day sales on Jan. 20.
