High Point Market, Fashion Snoops renew, expand alliance

Share insights on industry trends, buying and forecasting

High Point, N.C. – Buyers shopping the High Point Market this October can look forward to some new perks.

Via a renewed and expanded partnership between High Point Market Authority and New York-based trend forecasting firm Fashion Snoops, market attendees will now have access to an exclusive Trend Guide containing comprehensive culture reports and trend directions.

Also provided by Fashion Snoops will be buying and forecasting information, which will be available through the High Point Market Authority website -- www.HighPointMarket.org -- and shared during a special presentation at October market. (The date and time for this event will be announced at a later date by High Point Market Authority.)

This new strategic relationship aims to provide the home furnishings industry’s retailers, designers and manufacturers valuable perspectives on cultural trends so that they can more accurately forecast upcoming consumer wants and needs.

“We are thrilled to partner with Fashion Snoops again and be able to share these in-depth trend reports with High Point Market attendees,” said Tom Conley, Market Authority president and CEO. “Their cultural and home trend expertise will allow our attendees to develop an even more in-depth understanding of upcoming trends, which will give them a real competitive edge.”

Added Jaye Anna Mize, creative director, Fashion Snoops home division: “The home furnishings sector is learning how to embrace and make use of trend forecasting information. It is no longer a guessing game, our research tracks consumer behavior and cultural trends allowing our software to analyze and connect the dots from cultural influence to product innovation providing quicker sell through for manufacturers and retailers alike.”

High Point Market is scheduled October 14-18.
